Now you can enjoy a peaceful floating break aboard one of our comfortable, well-equipped narrowboats moored at Overwater Marina.

The boat comes fully equipped with everything you will need for a perfect break, and provides an ideal base for exploring the local area.  Dogs are welcome aboard, and there is a dedicated pet exercise area on the marina.

The award-winning marina is set in the heart of rolling South Cheshire Countryside, with plenty of opportunities for quiet walking along the towpaths, or just sitting and taking in the views and the wildlife.  For keen anglers, Coole Acres Fishery is only a few minutes walk away.

The marina has an on-site cafe open daily from 9.30am to 4pm (winter hours may vary) where you can enjoy a full English breakfast, coffee and cake, and a good variety of light lunches and afternoon snacks.

The renowned canal village of Audlem, with its flight of 15 locks, is only a ten minute drive (or 30 minute walk) away, where you can sit outside the famous Shroppie Fly pub with its narrowboat-shaped bar and watch the boats going past, or walk into the village with its interesting selection of local shops.  A ten minute drive in the opposite direction will bring you to the bustling market town of Nantwich, with its centuries-old black-and-white timber framed buildings. Here you will find a good selection of independent shops, cafes and takeaways. Market days are Tuesday and Thursday morning, and all day Saturday. There are monthly Farmers’ and Artisan Food markets in the town.

Exploring further afield, the market towns of Whitchurch and Market Drayton are within a half-hour drive, and the City of Chester with its racecourse, zoo, and the famous “Rows” medieval shopping streets, is less than an hour away.  You could even hop on a train to Liverpool or Manchester to experience those big city vibes.

Self-catering Short Breaks are priced as follows (minimum 2 night stay):

  • 1-2 people £130 per night  4 or more nights £110 per night.
  • 3-4 people £250 per night  4 or more nights £230 per night.
  • 5-6 people £370 per night  4 or more nights £350 per night.
  • Max 2 dogs free of charge.
  • Check in from 2pm, check out by 9.30am.
